What is DigitaKids?
DigitaKids is an educational typing game (touch typing) for children. A letter or word appears on screen; the virtual keyboard lights the correct key and hand guides show which finger to use — a feature called Finger Mapping.
There are about 129 levels from alphabet to words and a final phrase, educational pictures, scoring, a local ranking, and WPM (words per minute). The official site is digitakids.com.
What is touch typing?
Touch typing means typing without looking at the keyboard, keeping fingers on the home row (ASDF / JKL) and using the correct finger for each key. DigitaKids teaches this with immediate visual feedback instead of hunt-and-peck.
What ages is it for?
The main audience is children about 6 to 10 years old. Younger kids may need an adult; slightly older children still benefit from accuracy and WPM practice.
Do I need the internet?
Online play needs a connection (at least on first load). The offline Windows app works without internet after install — useful at home and in school computer labs.
Is it free? Ads or subscription?

Does it work on phones or tablets?
DigitaKids is built for a physical computer keyboard. On phones or tablets the experience is limited because the goal is full keyboard skills.
What is Finger Mapping?
Finger Mapping links each key to the correct finger visually. When the next letter appears, DigitaKids highlights the key and the finger on SVG hands — the core teaching feature of the product.
Is it suitable for schools?

How is progress saved?
In this version, progress and ranking stay on the local device (browser or app storage). No account is required.
